I have terrible home base noise S7+ RX of crackling noise, gives me ear ache and cannot hear anything I want to hear.

I just been talking to a chap on 27.545 USB who is parked high ground on a mountain doing a spot of DX'ing. I say go for it.

We popped out on Sunday morning to a local high spot, rig, twig, flask and walking boots, we took a walk but it was blowing really hard with occasional rain, so we got back in the car and switched the rig on, we never came into contact with a single soul, we didn't even see Dominic Cummings his wife or his child..
