SWR METER CB ( 27 Mhz ) SCHEMATIC MADE BY YOU

Post by rooth »

I didn't see a topic on this forum.
Have you made a diagram for a well-functioning CB radio SWR meter?
I am referring to an original scheme .

I have a Zetagi Mod 203W 3-200 MHz that is not working properly.
After adjusting the head of the scale to 10, when I switch on the reflector, it remains to 10, it does not move at all. I checked everything, I did not cut off. The diodes are ok, the cable is the same ... I have no idea what he has .
It would help a picture from the inside if someone has the model.
That's what it looks like to me .

I have just purchased a brand new Zetagi, it looks like the same one as yours, I had extremely high SWR's despite all new cable and connectors, I eventually traced the fault to a faulty soldered connection on the centre pin of the SO239 where it meets the board...

I'd certainly go over the connections if I were you Sir

I confess to knowing nothing about electronics, cb in general or indeed meters, but does the solder connection on the left terminal (as viewed) on the meter look like it's possibly got a hairline crack around the joint when zoomed in...or is it just my eyesight? ;)

What would you modify on a 203w if at all?

So internal pic of an old 203w that seems to give a reasonable representation of what its intended purpose is (lets face it its no BIrd 43/ Rigexpert). not sure that helps you but at least you have a something to look at :-).

Get 100 ohm/ proper wattage resistor, that way you could calibrate it.
