Just bought an Alinco DR135uk

Post by m6ceb »

Hi everyone!

benn absolutly loving the CB atm, not had any real contacts yet but enjoy listening to the band :)

I have a Delta LT318 and don't like it at all, I thought i would be happy with just the UK 40 and see how I go but I took the plunge and bought a new Alinco DR135UK after it was recommended by a fellow ham.

Really looking forward to getting cracking with it and paired with my Sirio Performer 5000 I am expecting good things lol

Thanks
Matt :)

You have asked about a suitable mobile antenna for your car on another topic, but you already have a 5000 Matt,is it on a lip/boot/body mount at present ?

The 5000 will work roughly the same as the 4000 that you say you are going to buy on another topic.

Maybe the performance will increase if you used a magnetic base with the 5000 ?

Save your money and just use the Sirio 5000 and Alinco 135
Plenty are talking worldwide on 27.555 usb,
Some are too far up their own @rse to admit it,

I have an early one, and you can only see the frequency display when it's not too bright. It would be no use in the car daytime.
Well, to be fair mine is the CRE 8900.
