Re: Fidelity 3000fm
Thanks Claude
I just wanted to know if it was Cybernet or Uniden boarded or any other, a pensioner friend of mine has found one and was interested to find out, I said I would try but can't find any information,
Thankyou.

There is no such thing as a Fidelity 1000 which is too good to scrap.

Re: Fidelity 3000fm
As said above, the 1000/3000's shared the Great-branded boards I believe, whereas the 2000 had the common Cybernet board and the later 2001 had the slightly cheaper Cybernet-type board from the Amstrads.
My Flid' homebase pulls in signals like nothing else I own. Back in '81, neighbours would wipe out all 40 channels, but nowadays its sensitivity really is a bonus.
The outgoing audio is very bassy though, but that's now its only drawback personally.

The Fidelity Homebase was a really good radio and they are well worth putting back into service. Superb receiver transmit audio is Crystal clear and they look so cool.

Re: Fidelity 3000fm
They're certainly easier on the eye than a lot of the other homebase rigs. It's just a shame the Cybernet board wasn't used for these.
Never, ever, ever....bloody anything ever!
Far too many radio's to list here. But I do own a legal one...

Re: Fidelity 3000fm
Well that's scuppered my idea of getting a couple of Baofeng 888's and looking at who's on 446 this next pay day, this thread prompted me to look at the 3000FM homebase & subsequently buy one for £27... Could've nearly got 4 888's for that price lol
