Have already seen and noted this BUT he is actually hacking the receiver's detachable control head to main unit interface and not using the exterior serial connection point.

I've yet to trawl through the schematics to see if there is any commonality between the two different Txs & Rxs. (read head interface vs external interface)

Oh OK, I notice an Extio.dll exists for the Alinco, perhaps this contains the commands? If whoever wrote it can be tracked down?

Well I've found a few commands on the web for the DJ-X11 which is supposedly similar.

Won't know till after Xmas as my DX-R8 is currently sat firmly under the Xmas tree

Once I get my hands on it I be able to hopefully work out a reasonable command list by "inspection". Perfectly legal and above board. Just a pain in the arse!

It's a nice radio, the IF Shift work well. The manual is wrong, it works fine in AM mode.
