Hi all,
Sounds like Notts Fire have got new fireground radios. Heard the distinctive MotoTRBO chirp a few times now, the range and audio has also improved a lot.
Not actually seen them in person though so can't confirm.

You mean the PTT key up sound that they make?
That's interesting to know. Maybe they're planning to switch to DMR soon? That seems to be the trend with other fire services across the country.

Yeah, I've heard the talk permit tone at the start of the message. Definitely still analogue.
I suppose if they decided on Motorola, there's no other option but to buy DMR really.
Had a bit of a Google search but can't find any mention of new radios anywhere.
