Does anyone know if the old midland precision series twin 7 segment display is common cathode or anode, ive not had chance to open it up yet but suspect it needs replacing, anyone know of the top of your head ? :D

If you're talking about Midland 2001/3001/4001 UK FM rigs,
then it looks like they're common cathode LED arrays.

Whereas the 40 CH AM rigs seem to be common anode types.

Which do you mean?

Which do you mean?
The schematic you suggest has a switched 13.2V line going to it. I would guess at common anode for that one too. Yes, I can see the ground connection.

Still not opened it up yet, yes FM 40 midland 3001, i would have thought common cathode, find out when i open it up. :)
