Jesan 88-900 weird
Hi Group,
I have a strange rig to repair here. It is a Jesan 88-900 base station with selcall. Can't find a trace of any information through Google. Anyone ever see one of these??
It is a weird hotch-potch of circuit boards lashed together inside. More so than most CBs. Is pristine and smart looking outside though. Worth repairing. Can post a small pic if requested.

I have always considered these a good looking rig.
Just for the sake of being nosey, any chance of a photo of the inside?

Re: Jesan 88-900 weird
Thanks for replies guys.
The "Jesan" here is almost identical inside to the Team. In fact it has "Team" printed at one corner of the main PCB. Perhaps there is some free info out there on those models? The radio here looks slightly older than the one in the pictures, but the front panel is in brand new condition.
Indeed they're hell of a lashup inside. NOT the way to mass produce electronic equipment, having loads of wire going to separate circuit boards.

I have had a few of these over the years [well not quite, The ones i had were the analogue meter, But same insides], Not the best set for performance too be honest, And yet another set using the MC145106 PLL

Never seen one of these.
The only advice I can offer is to take LOTS of internal photos of it from lots of angles before you start work on it in case any wires come loose whilst you work on it...

Re: Jesan 88-900 weird
I couldnt help me self in buying this one as i always wanted I have owned it for at least 5-6 years and its nice too use on the night time but I do know that I have better preforming rigs than this, I am surprised that none of the lights have went dodgy on it but have thought about changing them for something newer like a nie orange glow from the buttons and knobs. but with all that wiring it makes it a daunting job.
