As the GDPR thing goes it's probably in the best interests of the DMR ID people to delete your licence scan as soon as they've OK'd it, otherwise it's a massive liability. If they don't hold your personal data, it can't get hacked, and they can't be liable. I'm not sure if they actually do delete the scans or if they hoard them up for some reason.
