Adding FM to WKS1000

Post by dodgeyvanner »

I am wondering if i can fit one of the spectrum FM boards to add FM to a WKS1000, anyone know if this is possible on this model?
Before anyone suggests it, I Do not want to email spectrum and ask, as after the condescending / rude reply i was subjected to when all i did was ask a question about an item before buying last time - the less i have to deal with this character the better and thats me putting it politely.

That guy is a total tool, Wonder he's still in business, I ''Think'' it will work if the Radio uses a 455khz I.F frequency

You won't find one I'm afraid, it uses the 7.8Mhz IF so you're out of luck.

There's some better copies of the schematic here: viewtopic.php?p=517118#p517118

Maurer does 7.8MHz I.F. FM boards for the WKS. They aren't cheap.
