New forum subsection

Just see a thread about modding the audio on a 148. It got me thinking again. Wouldn't it be good to have a dedicated sub forum with specific tips and mods for specific radios , or chassis ? I usually try and write stuff down , or copy and paste things into a file when I see tips or mods that interest me. There was one a few years back about improving the FM modulation on the Lincoln which I meant to write down but forgot. So , I'll probably have to search through the whole forum now to try and find it. It would be nice if there was just a specific topic called "Lincoln" where you could go in and see tips and mods for that specific radio. I wouldn't post specific questions within it. It would be more for tips , mods and improvements. What does everyone else think ?

Trouble is, the site would be swamped with people looking to mod' their Fidelity 1000's by the million if there was a sub-section for them, therefore slowing down the site due to lack of bandwidth

Otherwise, it's a good idea, so shall we just ban Fidelity's

It could get really complicated if you started to list every single radio and chassis . But it wouldn't be too bad I think if you just generalized the main thread title and posted individual mods . It was just an idea , as tonnes of people on here have lots of good info , and it would be good to have a centralised area where this stuff could be placed for easy reference . My 2c

Why not just start your own modification thread and ask astra to make it a sticky ? Or do you mean a section that can be viewed from the main board ?

Yeah . That was the idea . I was just thinking that there's got to be a better way of grouping together handy mods and tips rather than trying to manually search for them from within the forum .
