The mic that is fitted is a KPO NM532
Radio is working and transmitting fine
but
I noticed that changing channels with the channel Dial is only working one way
say if i am on 27.555 i can change and go up 27.565 , 27.575 and so on , no problem
but if i want to come back it will not work { Dial is turning bothways fine }
tried this with the mic connected and disconnected result was the same
also gave it some switch cleaner but no result
anybody have any ideas or did anybody have the same problem with this radio ?

Re: Alinco DR135DX
The channel changer is on a small pcb which is then soldered at 90degs to the main pcb and the connections can become dry jointed.
especially if the channel changer lock nut becomes loose allowing the sub board to move.
Also the connections to ground from this sub board are through tiny thru-hole connections size of a needle, so you have to be very careful not to overheat the joints.
Its a really crap design and ideally they should of used a ribbon cable with plug and socket, but cost cutting and all that.
So very carefully remove the front panel and inspect the channel changer pcb.
Warning again they are very small joints and it is easy to overheat the tracks so they lift off the pcb. If your soldering skills are not upto the task
take it to a rig doctor who has temp controlled iron with pencil tip bit.
I came across this fault on my radio and upon opening it up I found someone had been in with a poker and made a right mess.
Luckily I managed to fix it.
I hope that helps, although its more of a warning than help.
Cheers Mark
