Re: Cobra uk 29 ltd st schematic
None of the links to the schematic seem to work. Would be nice to trace the fault with the schematic.

If you are on Facebook and can join the ‘vintage cb uk radio’ group..
Someone has very kindly uploaded both the schematic and service manual for the cobra uk29..
It’s the only place I have ever been able to locate it !!

Re: Cobra uk 29 ltd st schematic
I had the same problem btw..
It turned out to be a transistor on the small pcb.. took a bit of diagnosing !!
If you are keen I could upload a couple pics to point it out !

Re: Cobra uk 29 ltd st schematic
Got an idea where the fault is. No supply to the dim pot.
Need to some how look on the underside of the pcb board with all the pots mounted on. Looks like there is hot melt glue on the underside.
Anyone seen this before

Re: Cobra uk 29 ltd st schematic
Sorry, but late replying to this...
I had similar problem.... radio worked perfectly but no channel display and no backlight on meter...
Traced it to this transistor..
Decided that my skill level was not up to removing the board, so cut the old transistor off and soldered the legs of the new one to the old ones !
Seems to have sorted the issue .
