Post by m6ceb »

Hi everyone!

I'm brand new into CB and have purchased a 2nd hand delta Lt 318 and want to have it in the car and was wondering if you guys could recommend a good antenna and mount for use in the car.?

I have an Audi A4 saloon

Much appreciated guys :)

A Sirio 4000 and a Sirio 145mm magmount base, yes it will cost a bit more than others, but they tx/rx very well.
Plenty are talking worldwide on 27.555 usb,
Some are too far up their own @rse to admit it,
Many happen to know otherwise dx-ing test free,

If you go round corners fast, get the slightly larger and more powerful Sirio 165mm magnet to help keep that 2m long aerial stuck on well ;)

Sirio 4000 and a Sirio 145mm magmount base, is a good choice and no need for the larger mag base tbh as 98% of the ariel is just a whip if you wanted a smaller ariel just get the 3000 instead
on air, tyne&wear, northumberland, durham, holy island,eu120+eu124 and anywhere from gateshead/north wales
scrap uk 40 give cbers L/M/Hcalling on 27.355/555 usb qsy 27.015 lsb/410 usb cb radio is for life not just for profits

The 145mm will be fine for a 4000,especially on the boot of an A4 saloon m6ceb

And if you go round corners on 2 wheels in the A4 get a triple magmount base ;)

Should be fine on FWD, I was thinking back to losing magmounts whilst snaking sideways in my Mk1 Escort lol.

Sirio 4000 , can't remember which model it is but one type of the sirio 4000 has no grub screw ajustment for the whip length and you have to either cut whip or suck it and see.
So I always recommend the grub screw model personally.
