I was going to helpfully suggest that you gaffa tape a soldering iron inside the radio and simply turn this on when you wanted to use the radio ;)

There's another dodgy receiving DNT on ebay that you have to bang the top of sometimes for it to work properly. These are obviously quality radios ;)

When working they are very good but reliability is crap.
I had to resolder so many dry joints on mine and the boards are very fragile.

I've got a nice, boxed supertuned one, but I daren't now ever power it up again in case it blows up! I'll stick to my 100% reliable Amstrads and Fidelity 1000's :)

converted a lcl 10meter radio back to uk yonks ago 2001 ... right pain in the arxe from six watts too 4.. worked better as a 10 meter, just saying lol, yes had a old dnt too change the crystals back was the pathetic home base one! the feet came in handy for a harvard 407 hb lol

Yeah, I had a B40 homebase one a few years back with the pop-out feet. It had its box too which was a rarity but I flogged it as I don't really do homebase radios.
