You need to use a high lead content solder, don’t use anything else because it does not flow well and is less conductive and more prone to causing dry joints. And use flux.

I’ll have a spare 0.7mm 500g CYNEL Tin Lead 60/40 Flux
Bought 1.5kg as it was cheaper than 1kg

buying real solder isn't like popping to the shops,
you need to search for it, around £15 for a 400g 500g roll up to £30..
if it's less than £10 for 500g it's probably crap..
BUT if you but some they claim is 60/40 rosin cored lead solder and it still doesn't flow use a bit of plumber flux before you use it,
i have a roll of crap i use with plumbers flux for wires and loads of big soldering, i just clean up after using IPA.
i use Multicore 60/40 tin lead solder for proper stuff like IC's and components..
