Interfacing Radio to Amp

Post by 36ian »

I'm wanting to connect my FT2000d to a FL2100b amp, does anyone have any experience of pairing these two up?
Do I just need a straight forward cable from radio to amp or is it more complex than that?
I'm looking for clarification to avoid a potential repair bill :D

Hi, good morning
You will obviously need the RF coax from the rig to the amp, also you will need a phono to phono lead to enable the PTT. Make sure the internal ATU in the rig is turned off.
Nice combo, I used to run a similar system before going solid state, don’t thrash the amp, decent valves are very expensive!
