Thank you for replies, spoken to eleflow and it's not something they can supply, Pete have you bought from this supplier as I see they are incredibly cheap but I am a little wary after reading horror stories online about ppl using fakes from China?

I'm in the same boat, can't find any alternative for the FT-1000 finals.

Eleflow is a China based company and not a semiconductor manufacturer with a R & D department. The 486 datasheet is just a copy & paste from the Motorola data manual. Not they do not bother to replicate the impedance, gain and power plots. Save your money. I'd like to suggest a post on the FB Yaesu group:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/33717530697/ or eham.net forum to find a NOS source or a suitable alternative.
