Post by user8666 »

Hi guys I am putting my new antenna up in the next week or so but it's going on the gable end of a 3 stories flat so once it's up its not coming down as I can't get up there would it be ok to go over the seals of the antenna with some clear silicone think answer maybe yes just wanted to double check I have tape to go over the plug for the antenna thanks

Just test it's all working before you seal her up, but apart from that I see no issues.

You can but you need to use the stuff that does not evolve acetic acid (vinegar smell) as it cures as this will cause oxidisation of the connectors / cobductors.

The stuff sold as 'glazing silicone' does not do this, but you may also find it labelled as 'neutral cure'. ;)
