Yaesu Extension Speaker

Post by Macman »

Just grabbed one at a bargain price. £35 delivered brand new. I know this model is going obsolete now but it does a good job. The internal speaker in my 450D just isn't good enough

Having worked for a manufacturing company for 20 years, I can tell you that the outgoing stuff is often built better than the new stuff. Sure the new stuff usually has some gizmo (selling feature) that the old one didn't, but the cost down is relentless and it usually means money has been saved from somewhere.

Yep. Rumour has it they are going to reduce the size of the cabinet...a good idea, but I'm not spending £200 on the new model when this one works perfectly.

I'm afaid IT was an EBay deal my GF found. A one off. The guy was selling off stuff. Retail on these from the likes of Nevada is still £159.00. Maybe cheaper if you shop around and tell them you know it's obsolete. Sorry I can't get you the same deal

M and S Lynch have them. Shown as now obsolete you might haggle them down.
