Hello I am in Newport am am getting back into the hobby after a break. Got some Bapofengs at the moment but hope to get more stuff soon. Stay safe everyone.

I have fond memories of Newport as I spent a lot of time there in the 80’s.
There was club called the Stowaway on Stow Hill and ‘everyone’ played there, Ultravox, Simple Minds, The Sex Pistols, the Pretenders, Generation X etc etc and that guy from Visage used to go there, Steve Strange, who I was very friendly with before he became famous and moved up to London as he was from just outside Newport.
Ha, ha, sorry I’m waffling a bit, bet you’ve never heard of half these bands – anyway welcome to the forum.
