Uniden ubc3000xlt battery needed

Post by Pope Jefferson 1st »

Not sure if I'm posting in the correct section but I'm trying to find a replacement battery pack for a ubc3000xlt scanner, bp2500 as it's known. There doesn't seem to any left anywhere on earth. Anyone got any ideas? Cheers!

Gut the pack and build your own. Cost a fraction of the rip-off bearcrap priceand you can put better quality (and higher capacity) cells in it
"Search engine? How do I find that?"
"Sod it, let someone else do it"

I've gutted it, so if get 5 cells the same size and do a bit of welding that's good! Is there anywhere online I can get a simple diagram or instruction for this procedure. Or could it run on one 9 volt rechargeable battery?
Many thanks!
