AOR AR2002 repair request

AOR AR2002 scanner. Volume dead, scans and displays but the volume definitely not responding when I open the squelch. Any idea what is wrong and who has the patience to remedy the problem? Thanks!

Have tou tried an extension speaker in the back.

Sadly I don't have an extension speaker.

Use headphones than.

Thanks to all for suggestions,, managed to get an external speaker, working no problem. So looks like the built in speaker has either a loose connection or soldering dry joints. Sorry for the late reply!
