Digital 446 query

Post by wazuck »

Hi Folks,
Anyone know if digital 446 is a popular mode?, it seems that most basic 446 sets on ebay are analogue, I sometimes think about getting a digital set, but worry that other users may be few and far between!

It's a technical innovation the typical, non-radio hobbyist, user simply doesn't need.

I heard some builders using DMR Tier 1 (Licence free DMR on PMR446). They must have been using the Hytera DMR tier 1 radios because those were (and I think still are) the only legal DMR Tier 1 sets around.

Never seen any dPMR446 activity but I haven't been monitoring that closely.
