And treat those reviews as entertainment only. All it's worth.

If your after a base station go for the frg100. I have had it over a year and had some good stations to listen to. More and more people are going over to sdr though.

Re: Which is Best
You may want to look at the Alinco DX-R8. This is a current model and not much more expensive than than the second hand Yaesu 100/7700 rigs

Do you mean serial communications IF-150 interface?Chris64ex4 wrote: ↑13 Feb 2020, 18:23 Indeed but I need a new 3 way input level switch for the back of it first, existing one a bit knackered....
If so then to find a replacement these days is going to be really difficult.
You can build my project though, which quite a few people have successfully done.

Re: Which is Best
No it's the 3 way switch on the back which selects the antenna input sensitivity. I'll have to download the circuit diagram and see if another 3 position switch will do.scan125 wrote: ↑14 Feb 2020, 12:36Do you mean serial communications IF-150 interface?Chris64ex4 wrote: ↑13 Feb 2020, 18:23 Indeed but I need a new 3 way input level switch for the back of it first, existing one a bit knackered....
