Scan125 Manual Com Port Selection error
DowloaDED AND INSTALLED LATEST VERSION OF sCAN125 AND THE DRIVERS. Sorry hit my caps lock there. It fails to recognise that my scanner is attached and suggests I manually select a COM port. The drop down COM port box gives me one choice COM1...select that and I get a recurring com port error box pop up. Its Windows 7 and I think I installed the drivers properly although I must admitt I'm a bit rsty on Windows as I only use Linux pc's these days.

Hi Goffy
Scan125 author here.
Can I ask you to contact me directly via Email (https://www.nick-bailey.co.uk/contact_us.html) on the Scan125 Email address.
Meanwhile did you?
1) download the Uniden Universal Serial driver from my wesbite? : https://www.nick-bailey.co.uk/scan125/download/
2) followed these instructions : https://www.nick-bailey.co.uk/scan125/M ... ual.html#7
I do follow (some) forums when I can but my priority attention is to contact via my official Email addresses.

Thanks for the reply. I will email you when I get the time. But first I will re-install the drivers following those instructions carefully to see if it solves the problem. I am using Windows 7.

Its working fine now. It turns out I hadn't correctly installed the drivers using the Device Manager in Windows 7. All sorted now and no need for me to bother you by email.

OK
I would like to take this opportunity to all users of Scan125 / DriveR8 / HF150 / future software to contact me directly via my website/Email addresses for each product.
I can not monitor all the various forums available on the net and those that I do are a secondary and non prime objective.
