The Dynascan AT5555 I bought at the end of last week arrived yesterday but not had the chance to open the box and plug it in yet. That'll be something for later today. Pics will be posted!
Never, ever, ever....bloody anything ever!

Far too many radio's to list here. But I do own a legal one...

Just unboxed this and all is well. Latest version firmware blah blah blah. All reports are positive using a K-PO NM532 mic (they work really well on these radio's).

Manual in Spanish and English. All the usual accessories included. Came programmed to export mode.

A brand new radio for not much money. What's not to like? They appear to have sold out. Did anyone else snatch one up?

Nice one 👍 I have the SS6900N in it's box from new. Think I paid just under £125 delivered. For the money, they perform well. Like most of these newer radios, mine is a bit noisy on receive but it's ok.
My only real criticism is the clicky clarifier.

Enjoy

They're a very good feature rich radio for the price. I also have the SS6900N which works very well. The blue display I like a lot. I think I'm one of the very few who don't grumble about the clicky clarifier.

I wonder why they haven't put the Cobra name on them?

Because then you'd have to charge silly cobra money for the badge ;-)

The 200 GTL-DX was probably the last nail in the coffin for the Cobra brand. So they just used the corporation name instead as many folk won't link the two together.

The Dynascan AT5555 is probably a better radio than the 200 GTL-DX in quite a few ways. Very stable on frequency after warm up. You're actually somewhere near the frequency that the display shows. Far more features and doesn't have driver transistors that die a very quick death.

£135 for a brand new SSB radio isn't to be sniffed at. I'm very happy with the reports on mine.
