On Friday morning the courier delivered
1 roll of RG213 @100 meters
Some spare pl259's for RG213 + RG58/8X
A couple of barrel connectors and some 30mm alloy pulleys and
A Lincoln II radio.
I was looking for an SS6900N but the shop hadn't got one in stock so I opted for the new to me Lincoln.
Will check the radio out later today hopefully.

Added 2 more emperor shoguns and an early non asc president george to my pile. How can you tell model and year of the president george. This is german version, non asc, not dark screen and has alpha channels.
Kill em all and let god sort them out.

All non ASC George came from Phillipines. Last ASC batches came from China, but not all ASC radios. Most came from Phillipines as well. See serial number for production year.mrpsychopath wrote: ↑28 Jun 2021, 15:36 Added 2 more emperor shoguns and an early non asc president george to my pile. My new, old stock Cobra 148 GTL-DX I've bought has been posted, phew! I was getting worried as the seller kept messaging saying he was worried it might not work as it's been hidden away for 40 years. I thought someone might be trying to gazump me (he'd had loads of messages about it apparently before and especially after I hit the BIN button) and he was trying to put me off!

I hope it was favourably priced unlike some of the sheds on ebay. And I hope it's everything you expect it to be.
Post many pics when it arrives.
Never, ever, ever....bloody anything ever!
Far too many radio's to list here. But I do own a legal one...

Well it was near enough double the most I'd ever spent before which was the Mk3 DX at about £130 imported, so this was gulp...£250!
Saying that, I'd just watched a DX end with badly scratched front and back panels and no box for £204 plus postage, plus loads more have ended at much higher prices recently with replica front plates/stickers and no boxes etc, so it wasn't a bad price considering.
I'm still shuddering at spending so much on a radio though, but if push comes to shove, I can always put it back on ebay starting at 99p and I may even make a tenner profit
I really only bought it as I was fed up of a certain member on here lording it over us every 5 minutes about his bloody NOS Cobra, so hopefully now they're as common as muck on here, we'll finally hear the end of it (that's if it arrives in one piece, is as advertised and actually works!).

£250 is a very fair price indeed. As you say there's worse selling for more. A boxed 360FM is currently doing well on bids on eBay at the moment. The Collector wrote: ↑29 Jun 2021, 20:03astradyne wrote: ↑29 Jun 2021, 17:28Ah, a soon to be new member of the NOS Cobra 148 GTL-DX club! The Collector wrote: ↑29 Jun 2021, 12:38 My new, old stock Cobra 148 GTL-DX I've bought has been posted, phew! As for a certain member "lording it" over everyone every five minutes, I'd say it's at least every ten if you're referring to me!
