If people so desperately want a radio for the UK 40 buy an Audioline or some such legal set.

Why is it so important to have a few crapola CB channels anyway?
Never, ever, ever....bloody anything ever!

Far too many radio's to list here. But I do own a legal one...

yeah cos it makes perfect sense to have to stwich your radio off and on when you want to change modes... DUUUHHH
so that makes us whinners ?
So if it was only done for the U.K. whiner's there must be a big enough market for CB radio or they would never have bothered for another version just to suit a few CB radio user's in the U.K,and I was only saying what I think of the radio as I was using it,unlike some who have an opinion on all thing's because they watched a few video's on youtube.I never once said it was a sh1te radio as I think it is fine for SSB and that is where it will be used the most.As for the beep being crap I like it so it stay's on.

Judging by the amount of nearly new ones on ebay, they must have sold quite a few new ones in the UK market.

Maybe some folk have plenty CB radio user's in a 50+ mile radius that don't DX,and when the skip has gone still mean's there is still plenty folk to talk to local {bnghd} The G2 radio I have is nearly 5 month old.Why have load's of radio's hooked up to the psu when a couple is enough for most C'ber's,one legal, one not.

Edit = A few crapola CB channel's ? Not crapola when many from around the planet try/make contact on any of the channel's that are used on the legal U.K. 40 while dx-ing,and plenty amateur's use the U.K. 40 for talking to mates who are not on the amateur band's/or they are just bored of amateur radio and want a change.

I still do not understand why to buy some old may be scratched or damaged Grant-2 on e-bay
(Some old one)
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/President-Gra ... 1c4a0aaf87
if there are plenty of stores across the Europe are selling them at cheaper price and brand new and with warranty
http://www.ondamania.com/b2c/producto/p ... da-lateral
149.00 GBP = 189.999 EUR but new is 165 EUR
Is this a hobby to buy a junk one and pay more :o

There's also tax and postage to add to that price of 165Eur I think but in general I agree with you, people go stupid over eBay junk, buying things like second hand Wii remotes for a fiver more than Amazon sold them new was one that stuck in my mind.

I think they still work out cheaper than buying from within the uk, as I looked into importing one before I bought mine.

Two things put me off.

No warranty (As my first G2 went pop I am very glad I bought a UK one)

Secondly it is unlikely to be the revised version which can switch between UKFM, FM mids, AM and SSB whilst on the UK setting.
