In 1963 the Dynascan Corporation who were a Television Service company developed the first CB radio The Sidewinder which was shortly followed by the Cobra . In 1993 the Dynascan Corporation officially changed name to Cobra Electronics Corporation .

Well actually its was set up by Kal Korn in his garage and was called B&K Electronics firsly making equipment for testing TV components (like valve testers), then as Dragonfly said became Dynascan Corp.
I own a boxed Cobra Cam 88 tube radio built in 1965, now that's nice :D .
In the early days the CB's where made in the States (like all of E.F Johnson's) but later used Uniden and before them I think somebody like Panasonic in Japan made a few in the early 70's.

I don't agree with all of what is written on the top one. For instance "there are two versions of the PB-010, the AA and AB". Have thery forgotten about the President Richard with the AC variant?

Also the Mk2 came out in 1983 according to that...

Some of the mods look dodgy as well.

There is no such thing as a Fidelity 1000 which is too good to scrap.

It's been kicking about for a while that one . As you say Simon , there's a lot of guff in there .
