The skip was running today?!?!?!?! I've had the box on all the time I was out and heard nothing... at all bar scuzz upto level 3... just no voices, think I might need to have another look at the SWR

Erm.... yeah.
If you got nothing today (late aftnoon to early eve) then you have an issue

I was on UK 40 and went through the mid too, all 80 UK channels, might have to really start looking for... umm something with a bit more choice

In fairness FM wasnt as strong. but we had Germany, England and one or 2 others on CEPT 40 and for me I had all across the south of England on UK40 so I would have thought you would be close to guarantee's something coming through.
Plenty good DXing to be had on FM, but SSB is more productive.

I'm very pleased to report I got my first Tango Mike QSO today.I was out mobile in Durham when 26TM949 replied to my CQ call. Cheers Tim! On 555 usb.Some Spanish stations comming through 5+7/9 couldn't QSO though,huge pile up.

I was at home in Lincoln ,think you was static mobile Pickering north Yorkshire moors.
