after many years with out ive just got myself a superstar 3900 and im really looking forward to geting back on the air!! i have no arial which is very frustrating i think that'll have to wait untill next payday :( but i cant wait to start dxing when the conditions are right, im like a kid at christmass lol, can any of you guys sugest a good mobile arial and mag mount as i'll only be using it in the car on high ground.

hi matt. you wont go far wrong with a sirio 4000 antenna i bought mine complete with base from truck king radio. and it works a treat !! welcome back to radio ;)

Another vote here for the Sirio 4000. Managed Italy, France, Germany, Spain on mine last summer.

sirio being a good choice, a bit more money than some others.
i have the sirio 3000 from TK.

If your skint something like a modulator (mobile) or a tank whip (static mobile) will get you started.

Sirio 3000.... works nearly as well as the 4000 but catches in less trees. ;)
EXTREMELY WEIRD... AVOID AT ALL COSTS !

Or the good old DV27 a pound from a car boot if you get lucky...... I did..
looking for propagation for 2013 and beyond... Operating close to the Edge....
of reason......and the Quantocks...
but having fun on the radio.........
