I tell ya, I'm absolutely buzzing. I didn't make contact with them but I heard the ISS 5 & 9 its such a buzz for me to hear them. When I tell other people "non hams" that I can pick up the ISS they think I'm talking rubbish.
Anybody manage contact? I know a few people did.
Did anybody manage contact with the ISS?

Re: Did anybody manage contact with the ISS?
I had a chat with a guy in the Skylab years ago. It’s always a really good example of what line of sight, which we go on about all the time, works. My 3 watts from the UK and thousands of miles to him, then an abrupt silence as he went over the horizon.

It just goes to show how amazing line of sight can be. I was still hearing them as the ISS was flying over Germany from the UK until I lost there signal.
