I wish that was my page, i'd really let rip at the foundation dimwit shower of sh1t..
i run enough pages and groups and don't have time to mess with irrelevance.
Word for word, the things you say here are the same as on that page ;)
maybe people share the same opinion, but are too scared to show it ?
maybe certain words, phrases or comments are used quite often by similar like minded people ?

The man behind the facebook page doth protest too much, methinks.

Just an update on the GM300.

After more research on this radio, 40 channels may not be possible on the version I have.

My Motorola GM300 is 8 channels by default, only 16 channel Motorola GM300 radios can be made to do 40 channels so my 8 channel radio can only be made to do a maximum of 17 channels total.

I know to somebody reading this it may sound confusing....

8 channel Motorola GM300 = 17 channels total.
16 channel Motorola GM300 = 40 channels total.

To be fair the Motorola GM300 radios are a bit sh1te for amateur use anyway and get very hot even on low power so once I get mine sorted out I'll bung it on the 16 PMR446 channels and sell it, channel 17 will be scan.

I will have to teach myself how to use Hex Editor because there are no 16 channel GM300 software out there. I do remember there being a GP300/GM300 16 channel CPS I had it on a USB drive but it only worked for the GP300 handy talkies.

The GM300 software I had no longer works which is annoying because I can't find a working copy anywhere as yet. When or if I do find a working copy then I will need to edit the MDF file after I learn how to use Hex.

Once I've sorted this GM300 I'm never going to touch another GM300 ever again. Way to problematic.

Are you to scared to show yourself? What pages and groups do you "run" exactly?

You say it no longer works, have you tried running it in DosBox? you can usually get old dos based programs to work that way.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/dosbox ... taller.exe
Worth a try for the old program.

It worked fine on my old computer until the motherboard failed. I tried it on other old computers using real DOS but the programming software did not want to work.

I got there in the end. I ended up finding another copy of the GM300 programming software and this one works fine in either Windows 98 or in pure DOS. I modified the MDF file for 40 channels but I could not get the UHF GM300 past 8 channels despite modifying the MDF file however I got my VHF GM300 to do 17 channels with the same software.

I did some research on the model numbers to check I had the correct transceiver versions and both radios have the correct model numbers for the 40 channel mod, I will have to seek expert advice on this. Work in progress... 17 channels on the VHF GM300 isn't to bad.
