As a keen SWL I’m appalled at the abuse on this stick, I’ve always considered it to be a good listen, if XCC isn’t careful I can see it being shut down, surely a fox hunt would be a good idea, it’s alright people saying “I’ve got them 5&9 on the input, get driving round, get planted somewhere, so something positive,

If the licensed HAMS who use it and maintain it won't do anything about it, then it'll keep on happening.
Sad, but a fact of life now kit is cheap as chips to buy. even if it goes digital it can still be disrupted. Sad people in a sad world.

Re: Gb3yw
Repeaters get abused often now days. To many idiots with Baofengs with nothing better to do.
The problem is anybody can buy a Baofeng and get details of repeaters and program them in to there Baofengs. The same thing will happen to digital when DMR handsets become cheaper. There are plenty of licensed hams out there who abuse repeaters and some openly do it.
There has been a lot of talk about politics and swearing on the repeaters who don't care about saying their callsign.
Nobody will fox hunt because the chances are it would be there mates abusing the repeaters.
The ones that sit there playing music and keying people out are the worse. Personally I don't care if somebody swears or talks about political stuff or other things, I just listen and stay out of the QSO.
