Patch lead coax type
Should you use the same coax type for patch leads as the run from the antenna coax. Currently using RG213 from the antenna into SWR meter then Mini8 patch lead to radio.

Re: Patch lead coax type
If relatively short, shouldn't make a massive difference if not the same type, or rather if lesser quality, but personally I always use 213 , including my patch cables too, but thats because I bought 150m of the stuff years ago so I have it to hand.

You can use different. Preferably flexible one.

Unless it's cheap RG58 With two strands of braid i can't see it making any difference.

Re: Patch lead coax type
all depends how anal you are..
if it's for CB decent RG58 will do..
URM76 is better quality,
if it's not being moved then RG223 maybe.
but although some say it doesn't make any difference, running anything in line can lose you TX and RX signal.
also decent quality plugs help as some chinese ones can be pretty poorly made and not 50ohm.
