I've used a metal curtain pole and filing cabinet and worked lots of stations on it.

I've used a TV antenna system using the outta braid of the coax to radiate and plenty of other things for ground planes. I also used a telephone line once :lol:

I have a metal beam that is encased in concrete on the front of my building and I'm going to see if I can use that as a reflector to form part of a 10 meter antenna.
