Just a little update. I changed out the homemade Windom for a home-made end-fed using a 9:1 Balun and some counterpoises. I can now tune all bands, although I seem to have lost 80m, which is an oddity (hoping that improving the Ground system might help). I have recently got the shack in order and I am now able to work two different bands with two different modes at the same time. Over night I ran WSPR on 160m and 10m, the results are below. 10m was on the iMax and Top Band on the end-fed.

160m - HB End-fed (Almost 40m long)

I have been quite impressed with the Top Band performance. I didnt think that I'd be able to get over-the-pond on 5w on Top Band!

I am currently trialling the End-fed on 20m to see how it performs (its quite long on 20m and above) and I was pleasantly surprised to see VK pop up on the spotter. Again 5w. I am also running JS8Call on 11m (27.246 USB). I was heard down in 173 division, reunion Isl, which was again quite the surprise. 20m is 5w and 11m is 20w

Details on my new end-fed....

A sketch of how its laid out

I was just shy of the ideal length I had researched, so I added a Coil. The spacing is roughly 1inch apart around a 4inch drainpipe former, then just wrapped in black electrical Tape. The coil is probably the reason I can't get 80m, though all other bands tune without issue.

Vertical Section with Bungees to take out any slack from the wire (I'll replace these annually)
