Bet Icom are happy with the sale of this radio since Covid i have watched hundereds of videos on you tube and the amount of Ham operators who own this radio is staggering .So its 4 years old now so what will they do next to replace this radio when it comes ?
Make the new version with a 5" screen , offer a 200 watt version ? Big thing is the price keep it competetive .
The Yeasu 991A is also a decent radio but from what i have seen most buyers bought the 7300 because it has a nice big display and were not bothered about the 991;s vhf .
Thoughts please .

Re: Icom 7300
Since 2 years there is a step-up replacement. 7610
People buy 7300, because there is no competition at that price tag. Budget SDR radio just wiped out all competition.
Question should be: What Yaesu or Kenwood can do about that. Icom does great and I don't think will replace 7300 soon. No reason to.
