Has anyone used the spectrum noise squelch in any of their radios.....? Any good...?

Yes as it happens, and what a godsend it is on a cybernet radio. I've installed it in my Formac 88 and it does dull the audio a bit, like a tone control but it's got rid of that awful squelch pop so I would highly recommend it. They're easy enough to fit if you can use a soldering iron and I've got the level control hanging out the case (a tiny 50k pot) but when it's set you don't really need to adjust it. If you're going to use the rig squelch pot (10k?) then you may need some padding resistors to get the right value/range. But definately worth it.
The perfect face for radio.

Pyatt? used to do an in-line noise husher in the early 80's. I can't remember it's name 100% but something like noise cruncher or similar. Not sure if it only works on FM though???
