Seen this on the local emporium’s facebook....

I have questions! Is this a new antenna (still manufactured), or ‘new’ Old stock?
Either way thats a hefty price. Is that justified because...
1) its a very good new cb antenna,
2) its a classic and rare very good cb antenna
3) its a crazy world and someone will pay it

I think the yanks love them because you can put a decent amount of power through them and the magnets are supposedly nice and strong.
Signal-wise, I've read that the big Sirios are just a good and only half the price though.

"Prestige" eh. So that translates as: Buy this if you're a snob and require a trendy and expensive aerial for your top of the range Hummer, but be prepared to have your ass whooped signal-wise by the geezer sat next to you in the car park in an old banger with a 5ft Springer on it

I have one of those!
Blurb states itll handle 20kw ssb and 5kw am continual.
Ive also got a sirio 5000 pl which is supposed to handle 5kw intermiitant, quite how id get a submarine battery in the car to power such an amp is beyond me.....
Sirios a tad longer by 10 inches.
The wilson works fine, swrs in easy enough but is noisier than the sirio, which also swrs in dead easy, talked to a guy in Sweden ,mobile on that a while back no issues at all.
I prefer the sirio and its magmount is a fair bit bigger on diameter, its way cheaper by a factor of 3 plus who doesnt love 6 foot 6 inches swinging around the top of the car?
