Covid-19, one nine for a copy ?
Noticed any more local breakers on cause of Corona virus ? I would have thought there might be a few more on
given many are all stuck at home.
I plan getting on air soon.

Maybe they'll break out their 80's stuff from their lofts and a few extra breakers will reappear on the airwaves. We can only live in hope.
Taking about the death-inducing lurgie, I have noticed there are less people willing to spend their money on ebay from what I've experienced in the last week or so. With the current issues, people's wallets may be opening less and less for the time being. It means I'm actually winning auctions for crap, broken stuff for the first time in years. Bonus!

I have noticed a lot more activity recently, Mainly on 40M and 20M. CB is dead in my area though.
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Been monitoring 27.275 + 27.555 , its been very dead.
BUT today 555 has started chattering , and 275 is quiet , 305 are Spanish speakers
I thought 27.275 would be fairly busy as its TM1 calling channel ( 27 )

What mode is the TM1 calling channel? I might take a HF portable to work tonight and see if there's anyone around.

Used to be 27.535 Usb or 27.841.25 / UK CH 25 Fm.
Plenty are talking worldwide on 27.555 usb,
Some are too far up their own @rse to admit it,
Many happen to know otherwise dx-ing test free,
Showing a complete lack of respect for the law.

I have been thinking of going up on the hills for a DX. I am not going to be spreading any germs sat in the middle of nowhere, on my own in the car at night. There is nothing in the emergency legislation which bans people from traveling somewhere in their car, only powers for people who are ill or are showing sympoton, port closures, breaking up gathering etc. For the time being, I think it's OK to drive to a beauty spot if you exercise a bit of common sense and aren't meeting up with people.

You could, however, walk or cycle to said beauty spot, carrying your radios. This would add weight (see what I did there) to your claim of conducting permitted exercise activity. Bonus points for contacting vulnerable and/or elderly isolated people with said radios to check on their welfare and see if they need anything

Massive amp and find your highest supermarket carpark,as long as its open, they won't through you out,but they might send a fine in the post.
And the high advantage point saves me travelling as I keep in touch with old codgers who don't have phones/internet miles away
