Hi folks, has anyone here used an antenna made by Innovative Antennas? I came across the name when I read an interview on cbradiomagazines website. I was thinking I might buy one of their OP-DES Yagi's some time next year. I was wondering if anyone on the forum had used any of their antennas, and how they felt about how it performed?

Not tried it yet, and I have made some engineering improvements. I have had to buy some scaffolding to install it, so it will be early spring before it is operational. I'll be sure to review it

How high will you be raising it? It looks the biz.

ch25 I haven't looked about getting a yagi before as I was happy enough with the Sirio Gain master. I'm interested now and being able to import one from Canvey Island in the UK rather than importing one from the USA is more attractive and less bothersome with Customs etc etc. As regards whether or not its a full size yagi, well I don't have a tower to put a full size one on, well not yet anyhow.

I've used Justin's antennas for a few years. I can only speak for his vhf & uhf antennas but build quality and performance are excellent.

Currently use his Dual Band 6m/4m 8 element yagi. It's full size on each Band, so no requirement for traps, coils or weird gamma matching arrangements.

Also use one of his Log Periodics for 130-1300Mhz. Again, excellent build and performance.

Both antennas are low noise.

Thanks Auldgeek for your reply. Going by that report about the various antenna for differing band lengths doing what their designed for , then I have to seriously consider purchasing one, when I've got the funds available.

It will be at about 14 meters high, same as the current one.

The plastic insulators were made of a flat piece of perspex about 2 inches wide, this looks crap and is clamped in place poorly. So I'm using some plastic clear tube, also the fixing bolts will be stainless and I resized some of the clamps to fit better.

I'll take loads of pics when I install it

Can't see many CB'ers in the UK buying one at £700.

All fittings for both of my Innovate antenna's are stainless.
