I recall people saying they'd had trouble trying to wire up a non-Magpie mic', so the wiring diagrams may come in handy.

Nice one!

I'm going to fashion my own Magpie number 0 decal with my daughter's felt-tip pens and a bit of stickyback plastic like on Blue Peter.

Must look at the serial numbers on my Spirit 40fm, 5x EMS Mercury 1080's and my Megatracker CB1100 as they're much rarer. If I've no.1 on any of those, I'll post a picture just to pee you off even more lol ;)

C'mon you, you can't say you'd love another no.1'd plated radio and then say you can't say which one! That's just not cricket.

I reckon it's a Fidelity 1000 no.1 that you're hankering for :)

Lol :D

Most stuff starts at some random number

Cobras superstar the same way
Uniden radios don't start off with a random number - it's the year and country of manufacture code at the start of the serial number.
"To this day the words Stirling bridge conjour pride in every Scotsman's heart, while to an Englishman those same words conjour literally no feelings at all." - Cunk on Britain S1 E1
Gorgon Brown - a man with all the joie de vivre of a haunted cave in Poland. S1 E3

I've got some boxed mints of the same type as requested above. When do you want to meet up and swap them for the Magpie?

I`ll take that 001 for my mint boxed magpie.... It`s wings broke and it`s pretty demented keeps flying into windows.... the box is free !!!! and it`s guaranteed extra minty... tried to glue it`s wing back on with toothpaste
