Thank you Claude! That gives me more to go on.

Before I saw your reply I literally have just removed the S08 bridge I did yesterday, and now I've also taken off S03 bridge that was originally there. It displays everything, but I will now check with my car CB... that's before I touch S01 and have them all open. I don't really need 200ch, but let's see if this all goes well.

I was studying the picture in the earlier post with the messy wiring, and figured out that the S08 is bridged when SC is pressed as you power up (for 200 ch), and it looks like S01 and S03 (or S04 hard to tell) will be bridged by the H/L button on power up (for UK 40 FM). The S01 & S03 combination is what mine came with, so based on that post I might remove all bridges if just taking out S03 does not work, and see if I'm finally left with CEPT 40.

Yes, that seems to be what I'm about to find out.
I wonder if I take S01 off, then how do you switch between FM/AM?
On a lot of similar models, the LCR button is replaced by FM/AM and I wonder if that is 'built in' or needs additional work (beyond my capabilities though).

Hi Claude, yes I also found that but I am no good at electronics to be honest so it's all Greek to me!
Maybe in the circuit diagram it would be apparent to an expert if S01 is left open then the LCR button behaves instead like AM/FM switch. I might experiment and provide feedback later on.

Once again, thank you so much for providing these documents, I hope they will also help others who need to 'upgrade' the TRC 1014 to CEPT from UK40.

p.s. my suspicion is that S03 does the extra adjustment for UK frequency...

OK I found what I believe is the holy grail regarding the mods for the TRC 1014.
Somehow I stumbled upon the Zodiac P-2000 being the same, and a website with a complete list of bridge settings.
I'm pretty sure this is OK since the UK 40 FM is exactly how mine was configured, and the others match with what Claude posted above.

And so we don't lose it in case that site goes away, here is the table. 0=open, 1=bridge
