Update just noticed on my sds100 I’ve only paid for dmr activation I have not paid for Nxdn or pro voice activation could this be why it’s quiet as I’m not able to pickup nxdn or pro voice without paying for activation only have dmr paid for and activated ??

In the UK there is very little NXDN, something like 5% of digital use and as far as I know no ProVoice at all.
But you could grasp at straws and get them activated..

If you go anywhere near an active motor racing circuit you'll find it's nearly 95% NXDN. But as Mike says, elsewhere it's more like 5%. Agree, no Provoice in the UK AFAIK too.

This site can help you identify signals: https://www.sigidwiki.com/wiki/Signal_I ... tion_Guide
You'll be able to hear any sorts of digital modulation on your SDS100: it's just that you'll only be able to decode a limited number of them.
