Anyone know of any CB or PMR nets in the Mid Suffolk/ Ipswich area?

There are none whatsoever that I am aware of. There's a net on 2M on GB3PO I think on Sunday evenings but it's a Christian group if memory serves and boring as hell.

found a couple of nets in the past couple of weeks.

one near ipswich and another group of lads near diss/ stowmaket.

Large freeband group, North Suffolk, Mendlesham, Bury, Diss..446 channel 12 (446.14375) But you'll need more than a rubber duck antenna..group is spread out and using outside antennae.

Aye a few old gits up Diss way use 70cm
not sure about 446 though
always find people on 2m 3P0 Ipswich way also a few at night on T5 Kent/Essex/Suffolk/Norfolk etc

There's a bunch of old gits in Ipswich on UK ch40 from 7pm every night.

OK, well there is a group on 446 channel 12 that you should be able to hear if you have a decent outside antenna. I,m in Diss and nothing to do with the old gits who sit on a UHF ham freq all day wafflin' :roll:
