Newbie

Post by Gussug616 »

Hi I am a 82 year old just bought a whistler trx1e a week ago trying to keep myself mentally active. Getting somewhere using a old slimjim all band antenna from the early 90,s and have a moonraker 25 metre longwire a Watson super gainer. Back in the early 90,s still have Icom 10 . Well at the moment all I get is airways . So I hope that this website could help me . I expect someone may think I a little crazy to buy this complex scanner.
I live 4 miles from Eastbourne thanks in advance for any help

Welcome to TM1. Scanning isnt my thing at the moment and I don't envy anyone getting into that part of the hobby nowadays with all the digital modes and such out there, so more power to you.

I look forward to hearing about your experiences on the bands.

Once again, Welcome to TM1! :-D

Welcome to TM1 and the digital age meaning there is not a great deal to listen to on the scanner these days. I miss the 90's listening to the police and mobile phones
