I have the AOR DV1 which I treated myself to in January It took me ages to work out how to operate it, however I persevered, and now I am very happy with it.
If the problen cant be sorted with a "LUMP-HAMMER" then its most likely to be an Electrical fault

Yes I had the DV1 but mine died.

A little help needed on P25 settings for the uk that is
Step and Band width. At the moment I am using 12.5 Step
And 15K for Band width .

I have the DV-1 as well. I'm pretty happy with it, but sometimes the decoded speech is terrible and I often wonder if this is a general failing of digital speech-over-radio or if the decoding of the DV-1 is a bit cruddy.
I think some of the bad effects are due to people speaking too softly or too much background noise. Then there's the 'dalek voice' that I've heard many users complain about.

I think you get that regardless of how you are receiving it.
