Original microphone for Sharp 5470

Recently bought the radio which came with a standard mic but not the original. Been looking for one of these radios for quite a while and even bought the original mic separate. After setting them both up together the mic won't TX. The radio is fine as the mic it came with works fine so I presume at some time this original mic I bought has had the wiring changed.
Any help would be appreciated.

If all you need is which wire to which pin:

Yellow (could be white, hard to tell in this lighting), pin 1
Red, pin 2
Blue, pin 3
Shield (bare copper), pin 4

For what pin does what:

Pin 1 is audio
Pin 2 and pin 3 get shorted together via the PTT switch to put the radio into transmit
Pin 4 is audio ground

It's possible someone played with the wiring of the PTT switch to make the mic work with a radio that uses electronic switching. If they did it will probably have the blue wire connected to the audio shield during RX and the red one during TX. Some quality time with an ohm meter should tell you if that's the case.
